Its Been a While!

Posted in Uncategorized by brandonpage on February 2, 2010

I haven’t posted anything since last May. I guess I just got caught up in routine. I’ve also been focused on trying to keep my meandering career intact. Whatever the case, I am going to make an effort to get back on track and write more!

Stay tuned!

Griffey’s Back in Town

Posted in Seattle Life by brandonpage on February 19, 2009

I had a feeling that he’d end up back here to retire. I am lucky enough to be able to see him as both a Red’s and Mariner’s player. Always a crowd pleaser, and one of the best roles models of baseball these days.

At Last: Etta James in Concert

Posted in Music, Seattle Life by brandonpage on January 29, 2009

At last I got to see Etta James live. It was quite an amazing experience to see her in person. She still has so much passion and sass. The Paramount was jam packed, and the vibe of the crowd was exhilarating. Although she only sang about 8 songs, it was well worth it. I am just happy to see such a jazz legend while she is still around. From what I could tell, she has enough energy to be with us another 10 years. The highlight of the show was Etta putting Beyoncé  in her place. Etta is still the raining queen of soul.

Glimmer of Hope

I’ve always felt that you truly understand the beauty of life when times are tough. Its never the rewards at the end of long, hard efforts, but rather the smaller goals along the way. Same can be said about ourselves. We are best judged in our worst light….how we handle the tough situations in life. Do we shut down and stew in depression, or do we make the best of it and turn a negative into a positive?

Staying Positive

Posted in Seattle Life by brandonpage on December 7, 2008

Its been a while since I’ve posted. I, like most everyone, have kept a low profile. Perhaps we are just trying to get through this economic mess. I suspect this new year will start to bring things back to normal.

I am hanging out with my twin sister and my father this weekend for our birthdays. The picture shown was at Snoqualmie Falls. Today we may go check out the shops in Ballard.

Picnic at the Beach

Posted in Seattle Life by brandonpage on October 26, 2008

Saturday morning Reneé made fresh turkey paninis and packed a lunch. We headed over to the beach and watched what might be the last week for the sailboats. The sun was out in full force, as was the wind. I played some Nina Simone on my iphone speakers, and snapped a few pictures. A great morning indeed. Reneé then gave me a great birthday gift.

Thanks Reneé!

San Juan Islands

Posted in Photography, Seattle Life, Travel by brandonpage on October 13, 2008

We had a great time on San Juan island. Although I was only on the island for a day and a half, it was enough time to make me want to come back and really explore the island more. The beaches on along the north and south side are worth spending the entire day on. Its a 360º panoramic view. I even saw a bald eagle. Stunning.
